Digital Project Manager

Come join our Project Management team (Ros, Luke, and Milly) to deliver meaningful work at Ten4. We partner with clients across arts and culture, charity, and not-for-profit sectors.

We’re looking for a client-facing Digital Project Manager who can hit the ground running. You’ll be supporting the delivery of websites and digital products, acting as the vital link between our design, development, and product teams and our clients. Your goal will be to manage day-to-day delivery, keeping projects on track and aligned to agreed scope, budgets, and schedules.

This role suits someone with solid delivery experience who is looking to develop their skills further. We’re also looking for a Senior Project Manager with experience delivering large projects who can facilitate our project management team’s growth.

Role and responsibilities

Core responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple digital design & build projects (typically 3–6 months), ensuring the team has what they need to keep momentum.
  • Coordinate a handful annual support retainers, balancing ongoing maintenance and small enhancements alongside larger changes.
  • Act as the primary contact for your clients, building strong relationships through clear, structured, and friendly communication.
  • Keep projects healthy by carefully balancing client requirements with the agreed scope, budgets, and timelines.
  • Work closely with our design, development, and product teams to plan delivery schedules and manage resourcing.
  • Track project budgets closely, spotting risks to delivery or profitability before they become problems.
  • Lead project meetings (e.g. stand-ups) and provide transparent progress updates to keep everyone aligned.
  • Ensure the work we deliver meets our quality standards and follows internal processes.
  • Keep our project documentation and resource planning up to date (we use ClickUp and Float)

Additional responsibilities

  • Support the wider team during discovery phases, client workshops, and the creation of technical specifications.
  • Contribute to new business efforts by helping to write proposals and taking part in pitches.
  • Get involved in Ten4’s marketing by writing case studies, sharing insights in articles, and representing us at industry events.

What you’ll bring

  • You have around 3+ years of experience as a Digital Project Manager in an agency environment.
  • You’ve successfully delivered websites or digital products from initial discovery through to launch.
  • You are experienced in coordinating work across both design and development teams. Meaning you have a solid grasp of UX, design, and technical delivery processes.
  • You are technically minded. You don’t need to be a developer, but a good understanding of web technologies helps you troubleshoot and communicate effectively with the development team.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems. We use Craft CMS, but we’re interested in hearing from you if you know your way around Wagtail, Drupal, or WordPress etc.
  • You are comfortable working with both Waterfall and Agile approaches such as Kanban (or even a bit of both).
  • You bring excellent organisational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and clear written and verbal communication.

You are confident in guiding clients through delivery constraints, understanding how design/technical choices impact time and cost, and know exactly when to escalate risks to the leadership team.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working with clients in the arts, culture, or charity sectors.
  • A background in managing long-term retainer relationships alongside project builds.
  • Experience helping to facilitate discovery workshops or writing technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with our tool stack, specifically Float for resourcing and ClickUp for task management.

Working at Ten4

Some of the things you might like about working at Ten4

Flexible, remote work, from anywhere in the UK and 25 days annual leave

Our team is all over — working from Cumbria to Dorset and sometimes even farther afield. And if you’re an early bird? Start at 08:00. Night owl? Start at 10:00. You choose when to bookend your working day so you can fit in the things that are important to you, like school runs, evening classes, or even just a lie in.

£1,000/year professional development budget + regular catch-ups with a director or team lead

Your professional development is important to us. So if you spot an opportunity to learn via courses, books, conferences and so on, we’ll back you up to £1000 a year, every year. You also get monthly one-to-ones with a director or your team lead, to make sure you’re happy at work and growing your skills and experience.

£200 to get your home office in shape

We want you to be comfortable in your workplace, so when you join Ten4 you’ll get £200 to splash on whatever you want to make your home office work for you.

Regular coworking

We all need a break from the home office once in a while. We have a coworking subscription to allow you to do just that.

Macbook Pro with any additional peripherals you need

All the tech you need will be couriered to your home before you start.

Regular socials and an annual company retreat

Half a day, usually once a month, to get together with the team and do something fun, followed by a bite to eat and a friendly drink. If you don’t drink, that’s fine too; several of our team are tee-total.

We also take an annual company retreat — last year we went to Barcelona for the Craft CMS conference.

Two-month paid sabbatical after seven years

We reward long service with a two-month paid sabbatical, which can be taken in whole or in parts at any time after seven years of employment.
