We’re hiring a Senior Digital Project Manager
- Remote (UK only)
We are looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager to take a lead role in our team.
Ten4 is a digital product agency partnering with clients across arts and culture, charities, and not-for-profit sectors. As we grow, our project management needs are evolving.
You’ll be joining our existing Project Managers (Ros, Luke, and Milly) as well as a new Project Manager we are currently recruiting.
This is a pivotal moment for us. We need someone to take over some of the project management duties currently held by our leadership team. As our most senior project manager you won’t just be running projects, you’ll be helping define how we run them. Working with leadership, product, design, and development teams to balance client ambition with commercial reality.
Role and responsibilities
Project & retainer management (60%)
- Lead the delivery of our largest and most complex projects, working either independently or alongside other PMs.
- Take full responsibility for project planning to ensure work is resourced effectively, keeping budgets on track and projects profitable.
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, such as web hosting providers, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Nurture long-running client relationships through the management of annual retainers.
Navigate complex trade-off decisions across scope, budget, timelines, and technical approaches
Strategy & process (20%)
- Working with Ten4’s leadership team to review our ways of working to establish repeatable processes for the team.
- Onboarding clients and resource planning for our major accounts.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to report on project profitability and delivery metrics.
- Ensure the PM team tracks time accurately to maintain reliable data for billing and forecasting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes and project management practices across the agency.
Support the leadership team by providing clear visibility on delivery insights, forecasting, and risk.
Team support (20%)
- Mentor and support the wider Project Management team, offering guidance and oversight on their larger projects.
- Anticipate and mitigate delivery risks across multiple projects, helping other PMs to develop these skills.
What you’ll bring
- We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in an agency environment.
- You have a proven track record of leading complex website or digital product builds from discovery through to launch.
- Coordinating multiple teams, workstreams, and dependencies effectively is second nature to you.
- You enjoy mentoring your team mates to help them improve their work and provide a sounding board.
- You possess a deep understanding of the full project lifecycle, spanning UX and design through to technical delivery.
- You are confident entering technical discussions about architecture, integrations, and constraints with our product and development leads. You don’t need to be a developer, but a good understanding of web technologies helps you troubleshoot and communicate effectively with the development team.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills allow you to navigate difficult conversations and manage expectations with clarity.
- You bring strong commercial awareness and are comfortable owning the financial health and profitability of your projects.
- Taking full accountability for project outcomes and critical decision-making is something you are comfortable with.
- You can advise clients on strategic delivery trade-offs, helping them balance quality, cost, and time.
- Your approach to risk is proactive, allowing you to spot issues early and ensure the team delivers work that is robust, accessible, and sustainable.
Nice to have
- Previous experience working with clients in the arts, culture, or charity sectors.
- A background in managing long-term retainer relationships alongside project builds.
- Familiarity with our tool stack, specifically Float for resourcing and ClickUp for task management.

Macbook Pro with any additional peripherals you need
All the tech you need will be couriered to your home before you start.
Regular socials and an annual company retreat
Half a day, usually once a month, to get together with the team and do something fun, followed by a bite to eat and a friendly drink. If you don’t drink, that’s fine too; several of our team are tee-total.
We also take an annual company retreat — last year we went to Barcelona for the Craft CMS conference.
Two-month paid sabbatical after seven years
We reward long service with a two-month paid sabbatical, which can be taken in whole or in parts at any time after seven years of employment.
