P!NK, RCA Label Group - Case Study
Brief
We were asked to devise a competition to win tickets to Pink's "Funhouse" album launch party to be held at the Cafe de Paris in London's West End. It had to be promoted within one week.
Solution
We developed four games, three of which were traditional carnival style flash games with a score counter. The top players each received a pair of winning tickets. The fourth game was developed to spread the word about the event. Users emailed as many friends as they could and we tracked how many of them subsequently visited the site. The user who got most friends to visit the site won 10 tickets. The details of the competition were emailed to Pink's UK fanbase
Result
It was a success. In less than a week 5000 people played 100,000 times to compete for the 100 tickets to the event (an over-subscription of 50-1) and 30,000 emails were generated which drove 10,000 more unique users to the site.
